Good Faith Estimate Notice

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. Pricing for Psychotherapy Services

Pricing for psychotherapy services is as follows:

Sessions are $175 for the first two sessions. These are considered evaluation sessions. Each session thereafter is $150. 1 session = 50 minutes. The fee for a 50-minute psychotherapy visit (in-person or via telehealth) is $175 for the first two sessions and $150 for every session thereafter. Most clients will attend one psychotherapy visit per week, but the frequency of psychotherapy visits that are appropriate in your case may be more or less than once per week, depending upon your needs. Based upon a fee of $175 for the first two visits, and $150 for each visit thereafter, if you attend one psychotherapy visit per week, your estimated charge would be $650 for four visits provided over the course of one month; $1250 for eight visits over two months; or $1550 for 12 visits over three months. If you attend therapy for a longer period, your total estimated charges will increase according to the number of visits and length of treatment.
